Challenge
HOW TO DEPICT THE GOALS OF THE CHURCH
The Hills Church will implement fourteen goals for church members to sign-up and contribute to the success of reaching a goal. The sign-up process should be easy to follow and raising awareness is paramount as it will take participation from many members to complete all fourteen goals in five years.
Process
ESTABLISH INTEREST IN ONE GOAL
- Simplifying Choice: Fourteen goals were divided into five categories to simplify the number of options available to church members.
- Website Impact: Visitors should be provided with an impactful story, and imagery that drives traffic to the sign-up page.
- Reach the Masses: Videos, photography, graphics, and other imagery must contain racially diverse people from different age ranges.
Solution
GET INVOLVED AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE
To get started, the creative team sat down with stakeholders to get more information about the goals. We took into consideration the target audience – the church members, and how we could encourage them to get involved. Upon first glance, their goals are simple, but difficult for any one person to achieve. Additionally, there are too many goals to choose from. When there are multiple choices, ultimately it can discourage people from choosing even one.
We narrowed down the goals into five categories- personal traits that people could identify with that would have certain goals attached to each trait. A webpage was created where we listed all five personality traits and people could sign up for a goal within those traits.
By using google analytics, I was able to measure web traffic and ad clicks every weekend as the nationsandgenerations.org website was announced each weekend from the stage.
All printed materials such as handouts, merchandise, and signage were also created to increase engagement.
